Who should take the courses?
The 10-week program is ideal for people just entering the industry or trying to take their wine career to the next level.

What certification does the certified Sommelier Program offer?
A PCI certificate of completion is issued for each of the eight modules and a Professional Culinary Institute Wine Diploma is issued for completion of the entire program. The Court of Master Sommeliers will also issue their Introductory and Certificate diplomas and lapel pins for successful completion of their exams. At that time you will be a Certified Sommelier, by the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Can you take the courses without deciding to try for certification?
The Court of Master Sommeliers' Introductory and certificate exams are included in the Certified Sommelier Program tuition, however any of the eight modules may be taken ala carte.

How long are your classes?
Classes are three hours in length and are available in afternoon or evening sessions.

Where are you located?
The Professional Culinary Institute is located 35 miles south of San Francisco in the city of Campbell California in the greater San Jose area.
